Eleanor 2021 What a year!

Congratulations Ellie on being accepted into 

Melbourne Opera's Richard Divall Emerging Artists Programme 

This has helped to emerge into the Dramatic Soprano Fach. 

Eleanor has performed in many concerts for Melbourne Opera 

She covered the Role of Wellgunde in Das Rheingold and performed the role of Lady in Waiting in Verdi's Macbeth.

In addition to this Eleanor performed the role of Annio (and covered Sesto) for National Opera's La Clemenza Di Tito.

and covered the Role of Marcellina for Opera Queensland's Le Nozze di Figaro.

I am very excited about 2022 for Eleanor. Watch this Space!

I often facilitate these programs and have met the most wonderful singers at these events. Come along and have a blast. There is a night to suit those who sing in the shower and a night to suit the soloist who would like technical and theatrical individual feedback on their solo performance. SUNSET SONGS

In this Mother’s Day concert, BPO is thrilled to again work with maestro Nicholas Cleobury, Head of Opera at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, in a program of lush orchestral melodies.

 Richard Strauss’ autumnal Four Last Songs is a celebration of the beauty of the female voice accompanied by some of his most gorgeous orchestral writing. 

Why not take your mother to lunch before the concert at Bowen Hills’ exciting new King Street precinct just a short walk away!

Since my last post Rebecca has been named Opera Queensland's Sole Young Artists for 2020. She will be covering the role of Isolde in Tristand and Isolde. (Yikes how exciting!)

Tom touring in Italy and Turkey

Whilst finishing up a fantastic week with @operaqueensland  Tom has been Skyping management teams in Italy and Turkey completing his call back auditions!

As a result he has been offered two international touring contracts with two fantastic companies! Tomorrow he jetst off to Italy to begin rehearsals - touring Italy for two months. He then continues on to Turkey in February to begin a new tour in Turkey.

After participating in a Sing With Opera Queensland Workshop Tom hit Italy and Turkey performing in touring schools shows. He then returned to Australia with this experience and was invited to perform the role of The Witch in Hansel and Gretel in Opera Queensland’s Schools Opera.  Here is a photo of Tom as The Frog Prince

In an interesting twist Tom is now facilitating a youth workshop version of the first workshop he participated in for Opera Queensland.

Eleanor sings with The Queensland Choir

Eleanor has continued her relationship with the Queensland Choir singing as Soprano Soloist in their performance of Handel's Messiah in City Hall at Christmas time. Ellie blew my mind with her rendition of Rejoice Greatly.Her coloratura was scarily magnificent! It was the last concert I attended before Christmas. i felt the Spirit of Christmas was alive and well!
